Volunteers in the WorldTeach South Africa Summer program will have the opportunity to work in a variety of capacities. Various courses are offered for children and adults in the township of Masiphumelele during the July holidays. These include Computers, English literacy, Math and special programs that vary from year to year. Volunteers will spend the remaining five weeks of the program working as teaching assistants in elementary and secondary schools in the South Peninsula of Cape Town.Volunteers must be over the age of 18 (undergraduate students are welcome) and fluent English speakers. Prior teaching or leadership is helpful but not required.
