Program Description (long):
As a City Year corps member, you will serve as a tutor or mentor in schools, run after-school programs, plan and host day camps for kids, and help rebuild neighborhoods. You will find your purpose in meeting critical community needs. You and your team members will challenge each other, rely upon each other, and together prove that young people can make a difference.
As a corps member, you will commit to a minimum of 1,700 hours of service over a 10-month period from late August to the middle of June. Service opportunities vary based on the needs of a site or a community.
Corps members receive a stipend to cover living expenses as well as basic health insurance.
